Amy Houghtaling, President
Current President Amy Houghtaling is the former four-term Mayor of Falls City and is currently a small business owner in Dallas. She is also a founder and the Program Director for the FACES Afterschool Program in Falls City. She has been serving youth and families in various capacities for 10 years. Ms. Houghtaling joined the Board in 2015 and was elected President in 2018.
Lane Shetterly, Vice President
Current Polk CDC Board Vice President Lane Shetterly is a public and private sector attorney based in Dallas. He is also a former State Representative for Oregon’s 23rd Legislative District and a former Director of the Oregon Department of Conservation and Development. Mr. Shetterly was a founding Polk CDC Board Member in 1989, served as elected as Board President from 2008 – 2018, and is currently serving as Vice President.
Linda Jennings, Treasurer
Linda Jennings is retired as the former Executive Director of west valley Housing Authority with 40 years housing experience working for four different housing authorities in California and Oregon. She is a life time member of the national Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials. Ms. Jennings joined the Board in 2015.
Zellee Allen, Board Member
Zellee Allen is Executive Director of Partnerships in Community Living, Inc. (PCL), a Monmouth based non-profit dedicated to expanding the horizons and enhancing the quality of life for those they support. He has been a Polk CDC Board Member since 2008.
Kate Cooper Richardson, Board Member
Kate Cooper Richardson is a Deputy Director and Policy Chief for the Child Support Division of the Oregon Department of Justice. She has also been Program Manager for the Governor’s Economic Recovery Executive Team and Chief of Staff for Oregon’s Deputy State Treasurer. Ms. Richardson joined the Polk CDC Board in 2008.
Rena Peck, Board Member
Rena Peck is the Chief Operating Officer and Asset Manager for Catholic Community Services Foundation’s affordable and market rate housing portfolio. She has also worked as the Federal Programs Manager at the City of Salem administering HUD grant funding. Ms. Peck has been a Polk CDC Board Member since 2014.
Stephanie Torres currently works for Salem Health. She is a Gold Star Wife, Army Widow, a member of a Family Readiness Group for an Army National Guard Unit and a former Outreach Specialist for the Army National Guard for five local counties. She has founded a group that teaches money saving and volunteers to conduct related workshops and help communities in need. Ms. Torres joined the Polk CDC Board in 2016.
Elaine lawless is retired and has over 35 years in the banking industry. She works part-time as an Office Clerk for a local business. She also volunteers at the Dallas Chamber of Commerce and with the Dallas Bounty Market. Ms. Lawless joined the Polk CDC Board in 2017.
Jeremy Gordon is the Mayor of Falls city and works remotely as Project Manager and State Authorization Coordinator at The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Jeremy joined the Polk CDC Board in 2017.
